28 Dec 2001	Dawna L Burke	Loading... I love the picture but I don't think it matches the text. I doubt Gandalf had time to sit down and light his pipe while facing the evil Balrog! "You cannot pass! I am a servant of the secret fire,... excuse me while I light my pipe and blow a few smoke rings... Oh yeah where was I? yes yes.. you cannot pass!" It looks more the scene where he was trying to think of every password possible to enter the mines of Moria, sat down to have a smoke and think while everyone else waited. I like the yellowed effect of the paper. Makes it look old. Mauricio G. A. Silva replies: "My intention in ading that speech from the book was to characterize the personage by one of its most important scenes, same without making a closer scene-sketch relation. Sorry if it doesn´t work!! (there WILL be more drawings soon!)"

25 Jan 2003	Arwen Evenstar	Loading... The pic doesn't match the passage, but the drawing is good. I say to go with what you wrote, do more of a dramatic pose, like, on the bridge or something, and I agree with the other guy, have the Balrog in the pic.
