SciFi and Fantasy Art: ELA - mother of earth

Part of a pantheon project for my fantasy world. The fun part was the costume. Pencil on paper, 1994. Unfinished.

Luckily, I don't have to talk to type. I'm speechless! No flaws... Actually, the style is a lot like that of my best friend- only better. The best part is DEFINATELY the clothes. Specifically- the boots. I LOVE the boots!

Yeah the boots... better make sure it doesn't rain though 12

Earth Goddess?.. She'll have no need for modesty, for She created it all right?.. *shrug*.. just an opinion

Ooh, great designing on this one. I think that what you've started on the head (like a headdress?) would look totally cool in completion. Oh and yes, love the boots.

My only critique is that her breasts are set too far apart, she looks like she has two sand bags hanging over her shoulders.

hmm... guess you're right! I'll do better next time - I hope I will actually do something like it again 2

maybe she's going natural and not bothering with a bra!! Anyway. All due respect, I admire your freeness with nudity. But is it truly necessary to pose every female goddess as an underdressed tree-hugging hippie? I mean, get real. Mothers don't go running starkus just cause their a mother!! Leave her clothes on

I have no intention of removing the costume. I like the outfit and want to complete it, perhaps even in color.

I think the costume is a wonderfully added touch. With out it the picture wouldn't look right. If she's an Earth Mother I see her wandering around the forest, and what woman wants to go running through the brambles with no clothing on. I wouldn't. The drawing is shaping up wonderfully. I hope to see it in it's finished form, and color wouldn't be bad either.

Unfinished it might be, but atmopheric it is. In fact it doesn´t need to be finished at all. This way is much more misterious.

Interesting pic. I like her form...and you keep talking of this fantasy world....you are keeping me in suspense! I do hope you find the time to start this story you speak of. As I would guess you can write as well as you draw. Imagination is in your artwork, as I sense it would be just as wonderful in words you put on paper just the same. Well if you ever do get something posted here, writings or more art...please let me know!..seriously...2

Hrm, I like the unfinished bit, its as if she is building herself, what she wants her followers to veiw her as. I like the 'no bra' type thing, she looks more old fashioned, and She looks like she's had children. An awfully big one too...
