| 9 Mar 2002 | Ian hylton Alexander | Hmmm looking at this I'm not sure how much you have this when your pencilling, but the shadow beneath them I feel would benefit from being sketched all in the same direction. This is purly traditionalist thinking as you can't see it once it is inked, but it doesn't help other inkers if the pencilling is irregular as it can be confusing as to how the peciller intends it to be inked. This is very much how the proffesionals work. Of course there is always the other argument which says that if the work is not intended for inking then directional shading can add shape to a form. | |
