| 4 Mar 2008 | M3g | Looks a bit like a bearded dragon. Nice work! Melody Pena replies: " I used a bearded dragon as reference Though there really isn’t much that is exactly like one on this sculpture you can still see the influence! Thank you for the comment!" | |
| 5 Mar 2008 | Richard | Haha! Yeah, that thing is real. I can tell because of the way he’s using his tail for balance... Melody Pena replies: " He is preparing to hit you with it. I used my iguana as reference also, and he does that all th time. Thank you for the comment!" | |
| 7 Mar 2008 | Stacey "Nari Jauhara" Ooms | The expression on this fella is priceless! He’s got that look, with the cant of his head and the way his eyes are fixed, as if he’s saying "Just a little closer. That’s it...just another few steps, come take a closer look...." then FWAP! He’s gonna get you with that tail of his! LOVE IT! (not to mention he’s just adorable in that pose) | |
| 11 Mar 2008 | TDawn Maddox | I havent actually seen one of these fellows in person yet, but I love the facial expression and the warm, rich colors on this fellow. I think the orange eyes suit him better than the blue personally, but he is a beautiful dragon. Melody Pena replies: "I like the orange eyes too. For some reason the blue eyes looked better in the cement ones. This one is gypsum, and the paint looks different on it. It is odd how much difference the material it is cast in makes on the color of the finish paint. You can hardly tell the difference before they are painted ." | |
