SciFi and Fantasy Art: Commission: TiffaineThis piece is an original character commission - Tiffaine Stormdottir, property of Chris Punska. She's a character in the world of Gemstone III, accessible at www.play.net. According to Chris, 'Tiffaine is a Dancer in the service of Ivas, dark goddess of passion. Rather than focusing on the one aspect of passion that attracts most others to Ivas, Tiffaine lives to its full idea, doing nothing by halves, as a result. She is headstrong, outspoken, and a berserker in combat, albeit one far different than most. She weaves through her foes with the grace of a dancer, fighting with two blades and little or no regard for defense. She is eloquent and educated, something few expect from a warrior, headstrong, and more than a bit vain - the locket she wears has her own picture in it.' Note: This work is a fanart of a roleplayer's creation. Artwork displayed with character owner's permission.
| | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 18 Aug 2003 | Anonymous | Did you design this girl? Cause you don't seem to be the type to put spikes on her armband. ...but then again it just might be my own personal predjudice. I would also give her a large broad sword. It kinda shows that girls can be warriors and wield big weapons too. don't ya think? Meriko M. Robert replies: "This character belongs to Chris Punska. Pretty much everything in this picture from the type of metal in the daggers to the pattern in the cloak was something he detailed to me. I think the only "Meriko" bits are her earrings and the ties in her hair. It was hard work getting as many details as I could into the picture. ^^;
As for my own girlies, I tend to give them lightweight weapons. They choose armour and weapons that compliment their advantages over ye olde generic muscle-bound man, such as smaller stature and increased speed and agility. If I had an unusually strong female character I'd probably give her a heavier weapon than my other chickies, but so far I've only designed slender types. *lol*"
| 17 Sep 2003 | Mouse Mouse2@mou...com> | Wow... just... wow. Meriko, this is Sephy.. you know.. Tempy's friend. You know who I am. Tempy was bragging about your pictures so I wanted to see some.. and well, I just HAVE to leave a comment on this one. It's awesome. I love it. Wonderful detail and color. Dazzling even. Hope to see more of your work if you do anymore! Take care of yourself and the family! Meriko M. Robert replies: "Hoi, Sephy~ ^^ 'Course I know who you are. Eee, thanks for the comment. Glad you like the details and the colors. You have Chris Punska to thank for all that. He has insane amounts of detail on his game characters. @_@" | |
| 14 Oct 2003 | Eowyn's rose | Okay, I've just spent the last five minutes trying to find a fault in this. Not working. Except maybe... whatever. It'll do. her left arm doesn't have a line at the bottom, so it looks a bit big. That's the product of five minutes. Tells you how INSANELY GOOD you are. Meriko M. Robert replies: "Hmm, you're right...maybe her upper arm oughtn't to be as chunky. Glad you like it anyway though~ ^^ Thank you for the comment." | |
| 17 Oct 2003 | Someone cool | I love her hair and every thing Meriko M. Robert replies: "Glad the whole picture appeals to you so much. ^^" | |
| 19 Oct 2003 | Nuktae-tal | that is so sweet!! great graphics! i love her armer!! Her dagger is wicked! overal i'd say you did awesome!! ~Nuktae-tal~ Meriko M. Robert replies: "Thank you~ ^^ I don't draw weapons too often and I'm not comfortable with metals, so I'm glad to hear you say you like the dagger." | |
| 7 Jan 2004 | ElvenWarriorPrincess | That is a WICKED looking dagger! You wouldn't want to be stabbed by that! *shudders in horror* Nice job with the armor, too, that warrior gal is unstoppable! Meriko M. Robert replies: "Glad you like the dagger~ I was afraid it looked too delicate. ^^; I had fun drawing this character, despite the difficulty of including all the described elements. Thank you for the comment~" | |
| 24 Mar 2004 | Random Wanderer | i cant draw stick men, let alone hair like that! *sigh* another wish, why cant I draw? some people are so multitalented they can write and draw not just write! poor me! oh well, i'll get over it i suppose.... Meriko M. Robert replies: "Everyone has their own gifts...and weaknesses. I am frighteningly untalented in the athletic and musical departments, for instance. ^^; Thank you for the comment." | |
