SciFi and Fantasy Art: Tierna Lorr: The Messenger

Oddly enough, the oldest character in my Tierna Lorr novel is the one I rarely ever draw. Sonessnla (say it in three parts, just like its spelled) literally means, 'One who Speaks for Gods'. It is a messenger of the dragons, a guide between two worlds. It is ageless, genderless, it shows itself only to whom it will, it can be anywhere at any given time. It has many forms as well, though this is the most common. It is not technically black, as its form absorbs the color of the world around it, though the eyes are always emerald green. This is Prismacolor pencils on black cardstock.

Sonessnla is my oldest and easily one of the most crucial characters in a story I've spent nearly a decade developing, and one of the ones I hold closest to my heart, so be respectful and mind that copyright.

Ten years? Wow! I am intrigued! Where can I read your story? Please mail me, pleeease...Sorry, but the story isn't written yet. Its all in my head and masses of notes in my computer and drawings in my house, but its still developing and the plot is getting more complex, but its got some holes that need filling before I get it all said and done. After that (if I ever get to that point) I'll probably try to get it published. I doubt I'll put any large portion of it online though, I don't trust people that easily.

I love this piece, the only odd thing about it is the horn. It seems out of place, and not because of hte color, in my opinion the lines are too rigid, i think they need to be softened so it doesn't just look like a triangle stuck on the head because otherwise this looks like a modified photo it's so good. I love it otherwise.

Very cool picture. It´s amazing how some people can make something look so real with only a few lines. The colours are also nice.
