SciFi and Fantasy Art: Maiden of the Spear

They are the people of the dragon, the Aiel, a desert people, are hardened by the harsh climate they live in. Woman are considered equal in battle and these 'maiden's of the spear' can be quite fierce! This is, as you can see, a very loose interpretation of an Aiel, not wearing much of what an actual Aiel would wear. I like it this way, but perhaps I will also make a more 'realistic' Aiel in due time.

I'm so thrilled to finally see another Jordan fan!! And by-the-way, I think you did a great job on the Aiel.

Actually, I think that outfit's more logical for a harsh desert climate. It can get hot.

Dont get me wrong, this is very good, but its just not an aiel.
Maidens believe that a woman can be a warrior and should not be questioned as to what she must wear...A maiden would kill u before she was asked to where something like this.
So..Its good...But its not an aiel.

I just so happen to like this pic. So keep up the good work! I don't know what an aiel looks like so I can't say too much, but its still pretty good!

Wheel of Time rules!!! I love the aiel and I love the picture, altough her skin is a bit too light for someone who live in a waste...but then again you did say it's a loose interpretation.

It's pretty good, but i don't think it deserves a mod's choice.

Okay, i like the pic, and i think the critisism on it is a little harsh.. Cuz i mean okay, so it dosent entirely live up to its mod award, but, i think some of the people who commented are being a little picky about the whole theme.
Any way, here's a pic of a aiel that i think is more exact than this one.. Even tho this one is good and has had a lot of work put in it... I still think this one is better.

Did anyone ever take into consideration that it looks like this piece was created entirely in a paint program with a mouse?! Do you realize how difficult and time consuming that is? Obviously not. I'd be lost without my tablet so kudos to you and keep up the good work!=D

ok well thias is another one of those pictures that makes me wonder what the hell the mods are on when they pick pictures like this. . .dont get me wrong its good picture but its not mods worthy like . ..the anatomy is wrong and just like rawr. . . *shrugs* nothing you can really do now seeing as the star is plastered to this piece . . .it was blatantly i guy who chose this as a mod because she has HUGE tits but hey . . . evidently you win some and you lose some.

Did anyone also realize that this picture was drawn in 2002 when computer drawn pictures were very, very rare? 12
I bet that you've improved a lot in 5 years and for it's time, this picture is still pretty good 2
