SciFi and Fantasy Art: Paladin

A work in progress. Certain elements, such as the stained glass window, wall tiling, and the paladin's sword, need some work.

Awww.... *grinning at Laura* I actually think the sword looks fine as it is, and flaming swords often tend to end up look kinda... weird. woo. But anyway, she doesn't need one to be a paladin. Really good good on the shading too - great picture!

It's a really nice pic. One suggestion, though, when you re-do the stained glass windo, make the segments bigger! You'll get a much better effect. Go to your local Catholic church to see what I mean.

Cool pic! Right down to the clothes and shadows! I think the leading on the stained glass should be bigger. I agree that the leading on the stained glass should be bigger and if the panels in between the leading were bigger there would be less distortion in the glass work and you'd actually see the design. (I don't think you need to visit a catholic church though...lol)

Leave the sword alone - deadly efficiency in a weapon is more important than decoration. This one looks VERY deadly and efficient, one of the cleanest I've seen. As for the stained glass - yes, bigger segments. And not only catholic churches have them. Also, try using a different material / unit size for the wall and floor - will help the wall stand out. Beautiful pic as is, but a few refinements will render it gorgrous.

Ok, first of all, where do you get the idea that all paladins have flaming swords, and by the way, wouldn't that sword be a bit hard to lift? Looks a bit top heavy, like the woman. HA!

You rock, seriously. I really enjoy your work. If you live anywhere in Ohio, we need to talk. Working on putting together a comic book company, and looking for talent. Just drop me line, about whatever is going on if you could.

I don't see many non-Drow pictures of dark ladies on this site and I'm glad to have finally seen one. This is a nice pic and will be even better when it's done.

The window needs more back lighting. Right now it looks more like a mosaic then a window. Fantastic pic though, I really wish I had your talent!

Well done. Finally, someone else who's done a female paladin with a 2h sword! I've got 4 pics of that on my gallery (yours is much better.) love the armor.
