SciFi and Fantasy Art: Hitching a Ride

He doesn't seem to be as happy about the arrangement as she is. I was proud of this drawing, considering I had done the anatomy of the centaur's horse-half without using a reference. It was only after I finished and was able to compare the results to an actual picture did I realize how skewed the musculature was.

Michael, I think what Tanya meant about his head is that you should be able to see his neck and you can't, but otherwise I thought it was good.

This is a lovely pic, wonderful idea. I agree with the comment about the guy's head, i think what it needs is to be moved forward a bit so that you can see the neck and so that it's more above his chest. That and the horse part you mentioned. Other than those this is perfect, the expressions are great! I'd love it if you redid this one! :i)

Heya, me here. You concept of anatomy is astounding, although the horse half does appear rather... um... cancerous. I think his head fine. The thrust out chest emphasizes the arrogant attitude. This pic strikes me somehow. Perhaps, they were lovers who could never be and ended untimely in some herioc, "Romeo and Juliet" fashion. . . . Ah well, Julie's being fanticiful again. Great work.

Wow. Cancerous. That's a description you don't wanna hear. But I agree... maybe one day, I'll learn to use *reference material*.

Blah to referance material! I think this piece is just fine how it is. I hate getting referance material, besides who is to say that they don't really look like that its fantasy, *Rant rant* Any way graet work as always micheal.

A piece of advice: make it so it looks like the human and horse half look like one instead of puzzle pieces stuck together. Other than that, the pic looks great! I can only imagine what it'd be like to ride a handsome centaur...-sighs-
