SciFi and Fantasy Art: Mizukagami

So it turns out all of us have some sort of dream where they meet their counterpart.... in one way or other. Sometime later we meet them in reality, but since everyone just had short glimpses, noone really realizes... I, for my part, am too busy reading during that encounter... so I totally miss my chance to get a good glimpse at the handsome wizard.... and when we finally realize, two days have passed and we're far far away. So the following night, I have a dream again....

I am looking into a water basin. In it I see reflected a far-away battle... the white haired wizard is surrounded by a group of shadowed figures, fighting... wishing to protect him, I summon my elemental familiar... order it to help him... and there it goes, flying into the water and reappearing on the scene... a second later I just jump into the basin myself. The scene changes, and I find myself fighting back to back with him... I summon whatever I have at my disposal, but all of sudden, the tip of a sword touches my back, having stabbed through him... I awake with a loud scream of terror.
