| 21 Feb 2002 | Jessica Ng | You have a wonderful start of a gallery. Glad to have stumbled across it. I enjoyed looking at the pictures, you might try your hand at shading or experimenting with tones and light. Just a suggestion though. And a bit of "advice" before I go, don't be afraid to experiment and break whatever rules hold you back. Most importantly - no, I'm not going to say practice times three though I know _I_ really should take that advice - have fun. | |
| 22 Feb 2002 | James | I think your off to a great start here. Of course art classes are always good advice. I think the thing that helped me the most when I started drawing was tracing and grid drawing. It gave my hand the needed practice to keep all the proportions looking good. Also have a sketch pad, and draw the same thing over and over till it looks perfect, then trace that onto a more suitable finishing surface. Doodling all the time helps too Hope you get a scanner so we can see your progress as you learn new things in art class. | |
