SciFi and Fantasy Art: 2002 - Winddancer

This is a new species I just made. This creature is called a winddancer. This is a female named Purplewing. This sad creature was hurt in battle. It lost a wing and got a deep wound in the front leg. It's not crying because of the wounds. But because it's mate was lost in the battle. These creatures mate once and it's for life. I plan to colour it when I get the time. I hope you like this pic. I know I do :) And everybody I've showned it to so far.

Made in 2002. Medium: pencil.

You really have a good imagination. I also draw animals that come out of my mind. It feels good to know that I'm not the only artist that draws new species, like one of my EX-friend says!

Talking about the tale hehehe
I think this is a great pic, it's an interesting creature, but I think that if he wants to fly fast or just to move freely, he is going to need a tale... looks good without it but I can't imagine the trouble must be for him (Sorry, I'm lost on an imaginary world ^-^ LoL ).
I'm thinking is not necessary a Horse tale, it can be a lion one, or something... just a comment.
Love your creature !!

What a wonderful creature,it looks brilliant. I disagree with the person who wanted the face longer. I think the rounded face is unique and different. Too much fantasy is composed of elongated creautres and I find it refreshing to see a "stubby" beast. The wounds are good and the movement of the piece is nice too. I especially like the face, the sadness of it. Very cool pic
*sniffles* Poor thing!
