Her name is Mirand. She is a Hussar in the service to her queen, Elain, of Avalon. Originally a A 7th Sea character she is now in our 7th sea based campaign. I reworked the eyes and added to the background a little to improve the look. Thanks to all who posted their comments.
spiffy armor! I love it when someone finally draws armor that's based on real stuff! Also very nice clothes. Her right leg looks longer then her left, though.Thank you, the breast plate was worn by certain "courasiers" (spelling?) in several countries regiments. Take a careful look at what her hips are doing. Note that her left hip is higher than her right. If you measure from hip to knee and knee to ankle they are the same.
Wow, again! Great, especially the colouring. Andrew P. Morris replies: "Thanks for the comment! I really like how the breast-plate turned out as well. Should I work on a background?"
WOW! You drew a girl wearing actual armor! No offense to your other pics, but SHE'S CLOTHED!! YAY! Sensible clothing on a female at LASSSSSSSST!! *dances for joy*I thought it was pretty cool too, but sadly, the less dressed get far more hits and comments.
Having looked a bit on old spanish designs, I can say that breastplates was mostly a show off for the higher ranking people.
Most foot soldiers wore padded leather while Duelista used some Cloth based armor most of the time, with small bits of quilt pads in it, which quickly became "modern" fashion in nobility in most of Europe, especially France - In fact, when you see those modern jackets with quilt in the shoulders to make them look more broad shouldered, you should now know where that idea came from.
Anyways, the Colors are great, excellent clothwork and you also hit the spot with the gleam in the Breastplate - Good work all around.
Apart perhaps from the, again, a bit flat eyes because of their size. But I guess that's personal preference again. Andrew P. Morris replies: "Having taken many such comments to heart I have re-worked the composition, Whaddya think? As a side note She is a Hussar, a horse warrior and many of the officers (and in Avalon - Elaine's Knights) wore breastplates. ~AM"

Wonderful... Maybe the armor was only weard by those who had money to pay for protection, but who said she doesn't have money? I would say something about eyes, they need something although are hundreds times better than I could draw, but (un)fortunately my english doesn't allow that.
Really like the style she uses (mainly, how she has dressed), the difference in legs and boots and how they are weard, and I have to admit that I'm far more in peace with pictures in which women have clothes on (I'm still only 15, and you don't know what your parents would start to think about you if... , but be that renaissance or what it looks great. I think I'll bookmark this.
And here I thought I'd never see another living person who plays 7th seas! Very well done. I myself am trying to draw my whole group person by person.
Even though Wizards of the Coasts has now bought the game system, my roleplaying group and I are sticking with the old books. We were very fortunate to have the complete set. Andrew P. Morris replies: "I love the original game... I bought each book as it came out so I have the complete set as well. I will be doing more 7th Sea characters as I can... By the way ALL peoples: If you have not seen Lydia Rae Grace Richardson's work yet, GO THERE RIGHT NOW! I just looked at her Art and it is fantastic. "
It is a good picture. It looks realistic if it is a human. If she was an elf, the picture is very bad. Andrew P. Morris replies: "Hi Torque, thank-you for posting! She is indeed human. ~AM"
I think she's lovely now. Andrew P. Morris replies: "I am glad you like the changes. I hope some of the newer stuff raises the expectations on what I can accomplish. "
This is my favorite picture in your gallery, It makes me smile every time I see it. She just seem to have such a lovely personality and I love the pose and outfit. Andrew P. Morris replies: "Frida, Thank you so much! I really like this picture too, Mirand has a warm personallity and those under her command consider themselves lucky to work with her. "
