| 22 Sep 2007 | Vinyanov | I wondered on this image for a minute. Nothing happens on it, yet there are plenty of lovely details. The water seems daubed over the screen, yet its banks are invitingly substantial. All weird diagonal lines justify themselves in becoming paths and meanders. Horizon is unnervingly even, but if you watch closely, you notice how realistic all the tree-lined hill ridges are, and you realise that the whole picture is miraculously sunny. And you tricked me into seeing all that! Cool! Megan ´Angler´ Proverbs replies: "Aww, you make me sound like a genius or something!! I was just working from a photograph the best way I knew how. I'm not skilled enough to draw ultra-realistically, so my landscapes sometimes turn out a bit surrealistic. I left the lake and the cow's wings deliberately devoid of detail simply because I didn't want them to disappear in the shading, which is overall quite pale. But I liked the look and I'm glad that it worked okay. Thanks for the great comment!" | |

| 26 Nov 2007 | Stephanie S. K. Marbach | wow... this picture got me thinking - if we really had such cows... (we got plenty of them around here;-) ), such WINGED cows... how crazy !!! gotta watch out for the big poo things falling down the sky whenever they fly around... would be difficult to keep them... and somehow this reminded me of the flying pig of pink floyd *g*, don't know why ! it's very scenic, it's beautiful! nice shading, too! Megan ´Angler´ Proverbs replies: "Haha! Yes, the dung would be interesting. A trip into the country would be quite hazardous. ^^;" | |
| 10 Jan 2008 | Karen-Birgitte "Ellemerr" Borud | I’ve got a flying cow on my favourite computer game from I was little (and then I mean little - that game is now a little too easy for me, but I still like the cow) and I’ve always prefered flying cows before flying pigs. Really nice piccy, I love the background. Sweet flowers. ^^ Megan ´Angler´ Proverbs replies: "Yep, flying cows are definitely better than flying pigs. " | |
