| 10 Apr 2000 | Christopher 'Topher' Allen Shepard | Incredible job with the metallic look. I'm very envious. Nicely done. | |
| 12 Apr 2000 | Reina Russell | Don't know who Julie Bell is, either. But that's ok. I love this one, your proportion is phenomenal, and if ye want it to look more metallic, try making the light glinting off the metal more noticeable. | |
| 16 Apr 2000 | Claire (the Artis) | oooh - you don't know who Julie Bell is?? Okay so maybe she isn't as famous as her husband - she's the wife of Boris Vallejo - get some of her books, her style is very similar to Boris'...almost better! ;0) | |
| 10 May 2000 | Michael John Morris | I looked at this because of your comment on the discussion board. Julie Bell, she's very skilled, like her husband. I don't like their work generaly, looking at pretty models with weapons can tire you after a time, even if they are as well painted as Julie's. To get that 'fluid metalic effect', first you've got to understand reflection on metal. Once you do, then you can make ANY object look metalic. I like the flat planes of shadow, very 70's SciFi bookcover style. I would call this fantasy as it is. | |
