| 21 Jan 2004 | Anonymous | Interesting picture.....very gloomy. | |
| 15 Apr 2004 | Anonymous | I like this picture very much. I disagree with the previous anonymous poster. I don't think it's gloomy. It's hope in the midst of darkness. I love your shading, your use of the dark pencils. And the way their arms and bodies are situated. You really captured an emotion here. Very nice. | |
| 19 Jul 2004 | Aralynn | I really like the picture, agreeing with the previous anonymous person. The use of shading is amazing, almost accenting on the couple. By doing this is makes the viewer assume that even though they are surrounded by darkness, they are still there, together. She looks sad, yes, but he is there, arms around her, wanting to comfort her. The way her head is tilted towards him shows, to me, that she holds him dearly, that she relies upon him. I've never read the books, I want to, but by seeing your pictures, I am feeling the urge even more! Keep drawing, have fun with it. Jana L. Johnson replies: "Thanks for the comment! I'm glad that my art could have that effect on someone... You should definately read the books, they are wonderful!" | |
| 6 Sep 2004 | Lauren Anderson | YES! Those two are the best. Pfft to Aragorn and Arwen (ok maybe not a very violent 'pfft', they are a really good-looking couple), but I'm partial to these two. Nice style, very sketchy, but emotional, and very cool. | |
