SciFi and Fantasy Art Emperor Jagang by Kenneth D. Nadack

Another picture from the Sword of Truth series, the omnipotent Jagang. This is how I thought he should look! Unlike the description in the series, I only drew a few necklaces instead of a dozen because his neck would have seemed too crowded and cluttered. For those who haven't read the Sword of Truth series, Jagang is the leader of the Imperial Order, a large horde of people who wish to extinguish magic from the planet. He gets more and more people to join because he is a dream walker, able to enter people's minds while they sleep and manipulate them in many different ways.

9 Dec 2003	Anonymous	Loading... A little menacing, which I like in a Jagang pic. How many times have you read the series? E-mail me with the answer. Jagang was an emperor of Barbarian upbringing, giving the over size but not fat look. I always imagined him to be sort of a beefy sort of bloke. You may want to try some color that would have a bigger affect on people. Maybe some backgorund too.

17 Jun 2004	The Plan	Loading... By the descriptions in the book, Jagang should be a hulk of a man. He needs huge muscles and a less boyish face. Also he has the eyes of a dreamwalker, not a man.
1 Dec 2006	Anonymous	Loading... Great pic of Jagang. Not exactly how i pictured him though. Maybe you could make his fore head wrinkled in anger, and make his eyes into the cloudy looking abyss that dream walkers have. Not criticising though, great picture! P.S. Draw a heart hound!

7 May 2008	Jester3609	Loading... i disagree with a fair portion of the comments. Jagang is never described as fat. He is at the pinnacle of fitness. He is stronger than anyone in the series, though he never has to show all of his strength. The pic itself is good, but his eyes are meant to be all black, showing him as a Dreamwalker. Other than that, very good.
1 May 2009	Anon.	Loading... Im just gonna point out that emporor Jagang didnt have pupils his eyes have black blobs moving across them, and he doesnt have enough jewels, you forget he is covered in chains and piercings.
