SciFi and Fantasy Art: Ninja

Hmm, this was my first try at something of this angle, I wanted to make it look like she was spralling down at you when you looked at it, ^_^ it didn't come out too bad. In fact, I'm quite proud of it.

ummm, this exact pose was taking from a "How to Draw Manga" book...shouldn't you give them some credit instead of saying the pose was your own? (still, you did a good job. ^__^)

:-) Ashley Williams replies: "yes, yes that's true. I wanted to actually try out the pose from that angle since the first time I saw it. Of course I didn't have the book to go by (since I didn't bother to buy it) it came from memory. But I will give credit the next time I update. Thanks for the reminder ^_^"

your pic might be interesting to those who don't know of the Ninja trade, but let me give you a few small tips for next time you draw one. A ninja would not have been caught dead in that. They hardly ever carried swords, and the times they did, they carried kodachi(a short sword, much like the katana, but without a curved blade and a significantly shorter hilt) They dressed only in black and had their hair hidden at all times, for they relied heavily on stealth and that required them to move in the dark, obviously this was why they always wore black, even when not on a mission onr assignments. They never had anything on their clothes that hung loosely, for that would flap, get caught on something ect, and would cause major trouble. So, sorry to disappoint you, but this pic is completely unrealisticYes I understand everything about you say, but it's not really meant to be realistic. But just to make you happy, how about I just call her an an assassin instead, haha

Nin-samurai fanatic seems to be going down the list posting the exact same inane comment on every ninja pic on elfwood. Don't take anything personally.

.....no....I like the actual style, even though I am not a fan of this anime crap that all the young people are so intent on drawing due to it's simplicity...but, anyhow, the picture itself is decent, however the topic is outrageously inaccurate-I will not lecture long on this point, however, the ninja did not wear black (that came along due to kubuki theatre), and females were rarely ever seen in such skant garb....in fact, they might have been killed for that...I would add a sword wound in the back if I were you.....
