SciFi and Fantasy Art: Radesh YamnYep, so here she is. My beautiful hindu goddess. Or maybe a powerful sorceress, or a great dancer... or everything. That pic if for a friend of me who asked me to draw 'arms', so I drew arms. I really like the pic, but I'm not quite pleased with the hands. Tell me what do you think about it, please...

You're right, Shiva's a god...THIS is a goddess, Shiva's counter-part I guess you could call her, since you gave her the same characteristics pretty much- what with the dancing and all...but is she wicked at times? If I remember correctly, Shiva had a wicked streak in him...Gee, it's been a while though, I haven't studied Hindu mythology in about 4yrs now...You did a great job getting all those arms in there. Ah, and lovely blue skin I have a hindu pic of my own, the lovely Ganesh (if you're interested). He hasn't been getting much attention in these woods I made him back in highschool when I did a lot of studying on that kind of stuff (I didn't want to be out of the loop with Madonna's Ray of Light album now!). Pretty spiffy. -K Aida Vicens replies: "Thanks for the comment! Well, you know I commented on your Ganesh pic (do you remember), but I'll repeat it: it's great!"
| 22 Dec 2003 | Jem Sturgeon | Loading... Yet again, another cool picture. I love the blue skin, and the way you managed to get all the arms in without crowding the picture. She's pretty! ^_^ Aida Vicens replies: "That's one of the things I was worrying about when I drew her: ¿what if there are too much arms, or if they are too near, or if...? I think I managed it not as badly as I thought I would. Thanks for the comment!" | |
| 28 Mar 2004 | Danielle | Loading... Actually, I have heard of Shiva being both a GOD and a GODDESS. But I do like this piccy, especially the arms. I can't draw arms or hands for crap. I'm soo jealous... Aida Vicens replies: "You make me blush... Thankiess...!" | |
| 6 May 2004 | Stephanie 'Celeste' Chateau | Loading... Very cool. It does look alot like Shiva's counterpart, but not really. This goddess looks younger. Looks more like your own creation. I love it all the same. Found this piece through your friends fan art of her. Aida Vicens replies: "Thanks both for the comment and for the compliments" | |
| 31 May 2004 | Pauline Meert | Loading... I love her face!!!!!!!!!!! Her face is sooooooooooo beautiful!!!! Wowowowowow!!!! Awesome! Aida Vicens replies: "*blushes* Thanks..." | |
| 4 Jul 2004 | Sheona R. McCaig | Loading... I love the arms! As for the hands, look at the second set down. I don't know about you, but I can't do that with my hands! Lol. The rest look good, though. It's a very cool picture. I love it! Aida Vicens replies: "I'm not sure if I can do that, but sure I've seen an oriental dancer doing it... or doing something like that. Anyway, thanks!!" | |
| 14 Nov 2004 | Malin 'Molly' Nilsson | Loading... This is very cool, I love that its symmetric, and also I like the colours so much! Great work! | |
| 23 May 2005 | Valerie Joanne Higgins | Loading... Elegant, but I would've liked to see her feet as well. I think the female aspect of Shiva is called Shakti. I may have the wrong god but I'm pretty sure its Shakti. | |
| 26 Aug 2005 | K. Enci | Loading... She reminds me of Shiva. | |
| 15 Jul 2007 | | Loading... i really like this! its awesome. just the plain girl, her name to me seems like it would be Jasmine. I dont know why! | |
