SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lanfear-Black&White

I was thinking that too..that is the only area i'm having to scratch my head over...i'm not exactly sure what's wrong with em..(i'm not in the habit of drawing a lot of breasts D..or looking at a lot for that matter..)I welcome ideas.

Very nice, this is pretty close to how I pictured her as well! ^_^ 'cept I dream/think in anime style now... that's GOTTA be a bad sign... anywhom, the only eensy weensy thing I can find you might want to correct is her breasts - they seem a little off. hard as heck to draw right (ask any of my male friends... they will turn BRIGHT red... ehehhe. I'm evil. )

Well, being a man that takes every opportunity to look at these kind of things, maybe I can offer some help. Her shoulders are set at an angle with her right shoulder being lower than her left one. The breasts however, look like they are perfectly hoizontal. Her right breast can stay where it is, but her left one needs to come up closer to her underarm. The other thing is that her neck seems to be in the wrong place...too close to her right shoulder. I love the face and the hair! Keep up the good work, and I hope that my comments are helpful to you.

To add to the comments of the breast-watching gentleman earlier, that the sizing is a little off... I think this is a very good picture, well shaded, and proportional. Forgive me if I am wrong, but you are female, by your name, no? Look at yourself in the mirror unclothed. Lift your arm and extend the other, as she is... See what it does to the shape and positioning... I am a big fan of mirror-learning. Other than that, it is a wonderful picture, and I think not too far off from Lanfear, herself.

Stinks? Did you say, STINKS?! Bieng an avid reader of the Wheel of Time series, I'd swear you've drawn her as if she has jumped right out of the pages themselves - Darkly beautiful, with the right feel of arrogance because she knows how dangerous she really is - I can unashamedly say that I stared at this picture for a good hour. Inspiring work.

I can't be bothered thinking of anythign to criticise here; this is too beautiful. LOOK at her! She knows she's "the most beautiful woman in the world" Very nice pose you have her striking! I also love the texture of this picture, as if you've shaded a little by smudging charcoals.

this is really good! The only thing I can POSSIBLY see that mabey (not that much) needs correction is that her top makes her chest look lopsided...other then that, it's beautiful!!

You've got my attention with your art. I love the idea and the look of your character. However, here are some pointers. Why do you hide the hands? Is it an area that you are struggling with? By all means do not take offence! I too had a problem at one time drawings hands. It's just kind of obvious here that, that might be one of the strugling points. Advice, find a cheap anatomy book, or use your own hand to copy as practice...works wonders! Other then that...Good job! Love the hair!

well, to continue on the comments on this pic the breasts and neck are off, the hands i don't really mind but ill try to give you a hint at the breasts and neck.( I myself can't draw but can be very sceptic), the neck should be situated a few inches more towards her left shoulder (just the neck, not the face) and perhaps it could show a little elegance in form of a necklace(like the one she was described to wear at the meeting in the eternal garden with the other forsaken if i recall it correctly.

now onto the breasts, first of all they should hang more to her left side( the way her face goes) and I miss a slight alteration in the cloth where the nipples should be(doesn't have to give away anything unlike the dresses she usually wears) and they don't have bra's there so you might want to resize the left breast slightly to match the right one more.(all from her perspective)
