SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Mask

I painted this one my senior year of high school, in 1996. It started out as a landscape with a waterfall, and just turned into what it is today. I painted it with acrylics.

Its amazeing how some pictures develope. I like the designs on the mask and your use of a flower. Keep it up.

:-) Natalie Jo Bagby replies: "Thank you for your comments, Kevin. Yes, it is indeed amazing how some pictures develop. This one is one, as is my Question Dragon. I have a few others, too, that developed like this one."

Don't you hate it when you start drawing something, then it turns out to be you've never seen or heard of? It's really cool! ooohhhhhh....whose eye's are those????Thank you. The eye's are just a pair of cat eyes that I dreamed up.... ^_^

I love it when drawings take on a life of their own... it's like you're really possessed by the muse then. Great painting... looks like a carnival mask.. but with Spanish influences maybe? I like it.Thank you very much. I'm glad you like it... I should do another....
