SciFi and Fantasy Art: Carnaira 'Queen of Blades'I like the concept of contrast. She is all covered in blades that Make her out to be very wicked, yet as you look into her eyes you can see she is gentle, peaceful, and over all nice. and yes i know there allready is a queen of blades in the game starcraft but mine is cooler and she'd kick caragin's(sp?) butt any day! :P *done in mech pencil, colored pencil, and some pen* | |

| 29 Nov 2004 | Adam S. Winfield | What you said about her eyes is so true, i think it's the lashes and shape and other things that make it up, but very well thought out. Once again, fantastic style that really appeals to me, and that sword could own cloud's any day! (cloud from final fantasy 7) | |
| 29 Jan 2005 | Anonymous (soon to be revealed) | Hmmmm. Nice. Nice. Nice. (not as good as Kerrigan is) but nice. mind you, i grew up with Starcraft. (ever since i was 7!) AND I THINK kERRIGAN IS AMAZING. BUT YOURS IS GOOD. YOU SHOULD CONGRATULATE YOURSELF. [stupid caps lock key] | |
| 15 Jun 2005 | Asylum escapee | P.S. -=*Awaken, My child, and embrace the glory that is your birthright. Know that I am the Overmind, and that you were created to serve me... Serve the hive, I control the groove... Serve the hive, I control the groove... Serve the hive, I control the way you move... Serve the hive... | |
| 15 Jun 2005 | Asylum escapee | Going with the Queen vs. Queen subject, Kerrigan IS still human, she has been merely implanted with the forces of the Xel'Naga. Second, Kerrigan has complete control of Psi, wich makes her command Zerg just as easily as the overmind, whom she overthrew. But she does not have any armies- she is the tool of Duran, who is using her forces and power over Zerg to create his own army- a recreation of the extinct Xel'Naga. It doesn't matter who defeats whom, Duran will just come in with his invincible army and wipe out the survivor. And about psi storms, Who gives a ****? They are pathetic and quite often get in the way of one's own units. It is also easy to escape one, since its range is severely limited. Psi storms are really only useful against nearly dead or trapped units. But, in a no-army, no-psionics, no-Xel'Naga army scenario, I'd say that your Queen and Kerrigan look pretty even.
Nice tail. | |
| 15 Jun 2005 | Alisha 'Li' A. Hay | A very tough exterior! Even her eyelashes seem to comprised of seperate little blades. Very fitting and great job. Despite the severe metal, the Queen seems very graceful and feline. The contrast between attitude and appearance comes across well. | |
| 14 Jul 2005 | Anonymous | GREAT picture here! I can't see a flaw in this drawing.
BUT, I shall not be the only one not contributing to the "Who's better, Kerrigan or Carnaira?" conversation and I shall side with the Oh So Evil queen of the zergs, Sarah Kerrigan.
First thing, Psychic is not related to witchcraft or magic. I know it has no sense in the conversation but I had to comment that. Psychic power is a manifestation of the power of the mind. Protoss have extremely powerful minds and as such use psychic powers almost freely. Kerrigan also have awesome mind powers because of the "experiments" made on her (AKA the whole Ghost thingy) and her transformation into zerg were the Overmind (another awesome psychic being, capable of controlling thousands, maybe even millions of zergs) "augmented" them. Well that's it.
Second, I've read somewhere that you said Kerrigan was uncreative. From what I saw, Kerrigan is actually quite creative and cunning. She is highly intelligent to. And I won't talk about her tactical mind. She is also very very sly and is trained to be invisible and whole-fully undetectable.
Third, The zergs are more than legions. The zergs under the control of Kerrigan (most, if not all) are so numerous, there is to much to count (and they'll kill you if you try anyway), so they are probably more numerous than your queen's army. But the true point is that they (the zerg) are fast-evolving, highly-adaptive PARASITES. If I try to highlight the parasite thing it is because the zerg are known to assimilate other race and change their DNA so that they fit in their swarm. Carnaira's army could undoubtedly block the swarm as long as the zerg could attack but they (the zerg) would finish by assimilating the "organic metal" DNA and we'll have metallic Hydralisks (THAT's a kwell idea). Oops. All that not mansioning the gigantic fanbase the zerg has...
Fourthly... well, if they would go on one-on-one combat, I don't know who would win but it would be a long and pasionating battle (awww, that would be so swell!).
All that to say that the concept of Carnaira and the "organic metal" creatures and all that is really neat and I like it much. And I don't doubt your queen and her followers are incredibdly strong but she couldn't easily beat kerrigan's butt... and certainly not any-day.
Well that's all.
Again, great pic^^ | |
| 14 Sep 2005 | Anonymous | Alright who would win in a fight between you girl of a hork bajor out of the animorphs i know who would win but still interesting though poor little hork shis ka bob | |
| 20 Sep 2007 | Anonymous | Heh...You ever read Savage Dragon mate? I think you'd enjoy Horridus greatly. Surprisingly well-adjusted for someone who has been believed to be the devil incarnate since birth, if a bit naive and inexperienced from that whole no-friends deal. | |
| 4 Jul 2008 | Vincent F. Celeste | A Zerg is a Zerg and a infested person is a infested person. I speak from a marines point of view because I am a marine! Because she is zerg she will die and you put her as the ’Queen of Blades’ she will be killed by my hand as the marshal James Raynor would do to Sarah Kerrigan the real Queen of Blades. Even if we see beond that and saw that side of her our experience would tell us to kill her first before she any and all of us. This goes to you as well. If she can speak than let her speak and try to convince me and the men and if not you must do it. If not you and her will be filled with so much metal you’ll opean up a junk yard. | |
