SciFi and Fantasy Art: Halloween Costume, Dark Angel

i was feeling particularly dark and gothic one day, and after watching the victorias secret fashion show i decided that i needed wings.(yes i do like women... but those women were stick figures) so i designed a costume that would be very hard to create but fun to at least fantasize about. thus i created this, a dark angel costume whos primary purpose will be to freak out local convient store clerks as i walk in and buy a sprite and maybe some beef jerky. of course i will scare a few kids, but not the little ones. that and if i see any children dressed up as angels i will get realy angry and yell at them for mocking us real angels.
oh and that stuff on the sleeves of the shirt is lace, i have no clue how to draw lace. and this is actually realy close to how i realy look, though i am thinner and perhaps taller.
*Done with mech pencil and micron pen*

Haha! I am the first again! I must just be sooo lucky!

It does look like ya (From the picture on the gallary I saw.) and you've gotta love the boots and wings. Very cool. I'd wear it to McDonald's, but I've worn some really freaky costumes to McDonald's ^_^. The lace could use some work, but it is VERY hard to draw. I have a page in one of my books where I tried to do it... It didn't work ^_^

Ah, now this picture does indeed look familiar. You can't possibly be thinner AND taller than you drew this fellow here. That would just make you 7 feet tall and 50 lbs. O_o; Just wrong.

Other than that, I'm not sure what else I can say. AH wait, I remember, the lace; it first looks like some bubbly thing in his forearms, but it also can look like a tube of mosaic-type glass. A suggestion to make it look more lace-like, would be if you actually drew the rest of his arm from underneath, because as you know, lace is semi-transparent, so you'd be able to see his arm. Then with a lighter stroke, just draw on the bubbly rounds, maybe give them different radii to give it some dimension, and .. well, that's about it. 2 Good stuff.

:-) Nathaniel S. Summers replies: "actually i am 6 foot 4 and 120 lb.s so thats not too far off. @,@. thanks for the advice, i will definately look into that, perhaps i may even do a study on drawing lace... *wanders off deep in thought*"

great picture, Ive always loved angels, they always have a certain .. i don't know what to them. (if that makes sense, which i doubt it does) anyway, the outfit is awesome, i would love to try and make it, make black and silver like?
Plus the guy is really cute!

:-) Nathaniel S. Summers replies: "thanks greatly! HURRAY! I AM CUTE!"

I really like this picture as it has a Gothic look to it and I like Gothic. I don't think the lace sleeves look all that bad. But then again this is coming from a person who can hardly draw a Loin cloth much less clothing. So maybe that's not saying much. But I honestly like everything about the picture. And the above commentor is right: You are cute. Hope you don't mind that coming from a man. But hey, the truth is the truth.

:-) Nathaniel S. Summers replies: "thanks, especially for the reassurance about the lace. and i am more than secure enough to be able to take a compliment. heck, i'll take a compliment any way i can get it."

I don't like the bottom of the boots on this guy, they look really messed up. Anyway, how do you not get mod's pics when you are this good? Do they have you on some kind of a blacklist or something? What do they have against you? I shake my fist at the moderators.

:-) Nathaniel S. Summers replies: "The boots are platform heels. I am a ver tall person but I wanted a little more height to make me that much more daunting to the convenient store owners. ^_^. oh and I have recieved a few mods choices. Three to be exact. I don't expect to get a ton, there as so many other artist here at EW that diserve them just as much and more than I do."
