SciFi and Fantasy Art: PowerFae (revisited)my old PowerFae(floating around here somewhere) was getting old to me. it was a representation of my old stlye. i wanted somthing that more accurately expressed that idea of power. this fae has armor that floats around him, never touching him. those disks with spikes on them are sheilds and they too float around him. his armor and sheilds can move around as well as chaging their shape and or size to suit the moment. because of this armor he is nearly invincible. there is a fire within him constantly, its pressures are released though his hands. in some occasions, such as anger or passion, the flames engulf his arms shoulders back and head. that orb floating above his head can absorb energy, including magick and it is an eternal sink, it cannot be filled, storing the energy in a seperate and unique dimensional plane. it can also be used like an eye. *Done using mech pencil, then inked with micron pens, all the pencil was then erased and the color is prisma color pencils.*

I really like the way that you drew the wings and the rest of its very muscular body, it really gives it a sense of power. The only thing that seems out of place to me is the little pink bow hon his leg.
I would love to see him in action, what does he look like when he is absorbing energy or the shield are deflecting a blow? This really is a interesting character design.
| 2 Jun 2004 | Julie A. (Caljiah) Shubin | I loved the whole picture when I first looked at it... and then I noticed... THE BOW! and I was like OMG that is the most WONDERFULL thing i've EVER seen and the fact that its pink is a verry nice touch! by and by its awesome. >^.^< Ttfn =) | |
| 11 Jun 2004 | Marietta Buck | O_O ooooooo....I love the concept of floating armor, it just shows how powerful the character is. Ok have to ask...what does the pink bow represent? Not that it takes from anything, cause every other aspect, muscle, flames, etc show the C to be strong, but the bow just befuddles me. Nathaniel S. Summers replies: "I don't know what the bow is about. I had the sketch almost done and I just decided that he was too manly, so I figured a pink bow would fix that right up. Nothing special, my muse had a whim and who was I to argue? thanks." | |
| 7 Jul 2004 | Bernardo Dias | Strange caracter... The floating armour is awsome, the light-dark effects give a impression of magic. The body structure is good, even with the beast-like feet (ive been trying to make them for furries and is killing me). I wouldnt like to meet him with a bad mood Nathaniel S. Summers replies: "thanks! And beasty feet are easier than human feet. What makes Anthro feet hard to do is when one tries to morph a paw and a human foot. That is rather difficult, I prefer just big clawed feet, just easier all around." | |
| 10 Jul 2004 | Mackenzie Marie Sowers | Hey is very cool. *thinking : He is cool* | |
| 29 Nov 2004 | Adam S. Winfield | You have the coolest ideas ever! Your characters are so cool, their clothes to their weapons, creature type to their hair. Only thing i will say is maybe that shield on the right looks not curvey enough, minor thing though. | |
| 28 Aug 2005 | Rachel Lawlor | Holy crap *dies* This is so beautiful. Truly an awesome fae. | |
| 27 Jun 2007 | Steven Hiddink | So.. it's like we'll always have to watch out for this guy.. seeing that he's almost invincible.. Great drawing! =D | |
