SciFi and Fantasy Art: Dark Knight

I did this original a few years back, and I was happy with it at the time. Later I went back with a photocopy of it and colored it with colored pencil, which is the next piece.

NOw there's a warhorse that looks like a warhorse, and not an escapee from a merry-go-round! The lower feet are still a bit off, but the thick neck, high whithers and solid body are what it should be.

This has always been one of my favorite pics of yours. The Knight is one of the best I have ever seen, period. He presents himself as very patient, loyal....and at the same time, lethal. The horse is pretty good as well. I to think the feet are a little off, and the head (particularly the muzzle) seems a little "smooshed." But overall it generates the appearance of a solid horse. And when I say solid I mean powerful, sheer muscle. As it should be for a Knight who looks like he can bench an even ton. Nice job.

The details are great, again, but the horse looks a little bit.. strange.. O.o a little fat i think

I like this version much better than the colored one. The colored version is sort of unclear and fussy... This is beautiful.

hey thats really good. i dont want to judge or anything but a few things that r kinda weird on the horse tho like 1. the left front hoof is a little to small for its leg- it looks like the leg is swollen:'( and 2. the head of the horse is a little bit big. other then that its fine. i think its great the someones making their pictures look a little bit different then the real things2i really like it2

The hooves and fetlocks need a little work, but I could only dream to be as good an artist as ye are. Ye are very talented. My praise.

you are the best artist i have seen here in a long time. I love the horse, it is very detailed. This [i think] is your best one.

Yeah, I luv the knight. He's so forboding. He's solemn, still, but with a flame in his eye that says, 'This sword isn't scratched up for nothing. Just try to get at me.' Looks like he's just waiting for the right moment to unleash some inner horror. Terrific!

The horse, of course, is a little... off. The fetlocks give the impression that he's had Chronic Laminitis (founder- one of our horses died from that). The chest is good and broad, and the neck is nice, though maybe a bit thin, and the head isn't necessarily bad- just the jowl and muzzle are both a little off.

The horse kind of looks distracted in this one (in a good way!),like maybe he's posed on a knoll surveying a bloody field, ears pricked forward to the sound of clashing swords and banners snapping in the wind... Other than the few anatomical errors above mentioned, this is a gorgeous picture with lovely shading. I respect anyone who can shade like that.

its a good picture, but the legs are too small for the frame on the horse
