| 10 Apr 2002 | Cheryl L. Jensen | Lovely... I really like the facial angles, and the detail. Keep drawing people... you are off to a great start! | |
| 5 Jul 2002 | Mark 'Mr Man' Steen | heh heh heh, I did and still do a lot of pics in english too, lol. eneyway the pic looks great!! | |
| 21 Aug 2002 | Jacob L. Hansen | Your ability to show emotion is pretty darn good. I really like the Officer's look....it's sort of a regretful, looking back type expression. The armor is well done, and stances are all well positioned. My only change would be to have the cape a little longer....but that's my personal preference. It would give the Officer a little more dynamic look to him I think. Other than that, excellent sketch. Heh heh....good ole' English class. Math was always my favorite doodle time. Keep it up Nate. | |
| 16 Sep 2002 | Jenny Rydén | I think the lines makes the picture interesting. Somehow I can imagine them being created line by line, until they look as amazing as they do now. Great piece of art! | |
| 4 Dec 2002 | Amanda Mark | Sounds like history class....though I'm never very productive beacause Mr. Ryder will inevitably yell something sarcastic and obnoxious when he finds I'm not listening to his lecture on Republicans and how they're going to ruin the country soon. Uh...anyway, the detail on the armor is phenomenal, very intricate. You used great shading, and it actually looks metallic....cool. Nathanael L. Wetjen replies: "Thank you very much! Even in college I find myself goofing off and not paying attention...probably not the wisest idea. Oh well...thanks for stoppin by!" | |
| 10 Mar 2003 | Xeigrich <tonyjones17@yah...com> | More Roman! I like the spear-stick-thing weapon the guy on the right has(or is it part of a bow?? can't tell), and the detail, again! My English class has those tiny desks with just enough room for your arm and a sheet of paper. I prefer my math class for doodling, as it has the full desks(about a 1 1/2 ft by 2 ft, maybe but Im not good at estimating length) and more freetime(better lighting, too!) Nathanael L. Wetjen replies: "Cool man...classtime seems to be a great time to draw! The spear is a pilum, which the Roman infantry would throw into their enemies right before they engaged hand to hand combat...essentially killing them or at least rendering their foes' shields useless, as the pilums would bend after they hit and stick in anything they punctured." | |
| 16 Aug 2003 | Eric 'Gaarvalf' Forgeot | As all picture in your gallery, it's very well done. About the lines, it looks you've deleted only the lines around the characters. It's possible to delete them inside by using a "color replacement" in many image software : if lines are in blue or red and your drawing in black, you can reduce much the annoying lines without harming your picture. | |
| 16 Aug 2003 | Erin Perdue | drawing in class? *clicks her tounge* naughty naughty *shakes finger also* but my cousins n i also draw in class (when we're not sleeping ) tho my cousin goes to a different school we like to goof off n stuff. anyways nice job. i like the helmets. >:~) Erin (~:< | |
| 22 Oct 2006 | Diendiadre | Very nice, I love it! Now for some history! Ok, I don't even know if there's a pili looking like that, but it sure looks strange... Anyways that spear is a pili! Roman throwing spear, every roman legionaire had one. Throwing spears were very popular during antiguity. Why, is not an easy question to answer, but the romans made certain that their spears stayed in their enemies sheilds, makeing them impossible to use. | |
| 10 Jul 2007 | Anonymous | I know the Romans had short swords, but where they really that small? | |
