SciFi and Fantasy Art: Ren Angel

Okay, this was kind of a face study, but not - cause I was half looking at a renaissance painting, and halfway doing it myself. Since the ERB ripped away my dancer, I have this to show that I don't only do anime. If anyone knows the painting this is from, be my guest and tell me, cause I'd like to find a copy for a background on my PC ^_^ I love world history; it's the best class to doodle in. This was a fun doodle!

I love this one! She looks so peaceful and all...*sigh* tis wonderful. Don't let anyone tell you that you can only draw anime!! Of course there's nothing wrong with anime as it is - I'm totally obsessed 10 but it's good to try other styles as well, so more power to you for pulling this off so well! Boy I'm talkative or something today lol.

:-) Natalie Rose Fisher replies: "Thanks, Amber ^_^ It makes me happy to know that eventually I will make myself able to draw like this when I don't have a model!!"

I like this one alot nat, its what my image of an angel would be, and what i think of when i think of angels 2

:-) Natalie Rose Fisher replies: "Hee hee - thank you. You know I tried to color this once and it looked horrible... -_-; But yeah. Thanks again, Ash ^_^ When I finish your angel, I'll totally put it up here THH Anyhoo... rock on; see you in Soc!"

I really like this! I'm not that found of manga so this is perfect, you should try to draw more things like this =)

:-) Natalie Rose Fisher replies: "thanks. I do, I just don't do my fantasy this way, usually. "

It's a wonderful picture, really looks like Renaissance angel. The shading is very well done. Anime is great, but it's nice to see something different sometimes 2

:-) Natalie Rose Fisher replies: "Why, thanks! ^_^"

This ish -so- purty ^-^ I LOVE the Renaissance....we were just studying it in my AP Art History class...

:-) Natalie Rose Fisher replies: "AP ART HISTORY??? WHY DON'T WE HAVE THAT CLASS IN MY SCHOOL????"

Eee, so soft and prettyful~! Really does look Renaissance-y *^^* I probably should recognize the painting since I just finished an essay on Renaissance art, but... I suck _-_;

:-) Natalie Rose Fisher replies: "Ach, I don't know if anyone WOULD recognize the painting... it doesn't look THAT much like it, yet I still think that I incorporated the *could be any age* into the angel - you know what I mean? First glance looks like she's a kid, but then you look a little longer, and the age stretches. Or... maybe I'm just dumb ^_^"

Hehe, renaisance does have it's good sides. Can't recognice this picture, though. I really like the work on her hair and eyes. And to repeat the rest of the comments, she is very renaisance-like. Or barok. (Hope that's the English word for that period. Auch, this is embarasing. I study art-history and I can't remember the English frases for some of the main periods...)

:-) Natalie Rose Fisher replies: "Hehe... I dunno if I've ever heard it used for visual art, but I know the baroque period was a period in musical arts... so you're probably right ^_^ thanks, though. I think that the hair was the hardest part; hair is always very hard for me to do well..."

Baroque. There it was... He, hard to remember the way to spell words on several languages. *Still embarased* Anyway, you can trust on my words as I say that it IS a period within visual arts as well. It's what follows after renaissance. Around 1600.
