SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Wizard's Daughter

Yet another art contest contribution, on the theme 'Magic'. The Wizards daughter (borrowing the hat from a very proud father) is learning her first spell.

Not wanting to get stuck in just one style, this time I tried colouring nothing but the people, not even the clothes they're wearing! Kind of put some extra emphasis on the characters, don't you think?
This (and some other things, like the building in the background) are inspired by drawings from Håkan Ackegård, but nothing's 'stolen'.

Like you said, it highlights the characters and the very amusing expression on their faces. It's got a sweet, cartoony feel to it and I love how the girl is completely freaked out by what she's doing. Lovely piece, great colour and expressions!
