| 22 Jun 2000 | satansdaughter | yep, fraid joseph up ther is right, maiden's of the spear did wear pants, which is why aviendha has so much trounble with skirts for a while there when sh efirst becomes a wise one...and just think about it, how maneouverable are skirts? they're just gonna get in the way in a fight! teh aiel aren't stupid, they're going to wear what's best for fighting in, and that would look somewhat like what the artist has drawn here, i believe. i think you've got a good representation of the maidens outfit there, i like your interpretation of the wheel of time stuff. | |

I also don't tend to think they wear button up shirts. Try going to the middle east to find inspiration for aiel clothing. lots of wraparound and stuff like that, very little button up, mostly stringtied and stuff like that. | |
