SciFi and Fantasy Art: Succubus

I started out drawing a female pose out of a book then got to thinking that I need to use some of those paints my grandmother got me for christmas. As some of you know a succubus is a seductive creature bent on using men for their evil ways and ...uh things like that. Please give me advice on oil painting (Yes I know about FARP - I want your personal advice.) Be honest too!

Hey nic it's me Nolan.. Sorry I have not got back to you in a while but i,ve been really busy with work and school. Anyways this is a really good pic... I've never used oil paints so I can't say much more besides that it has good texture. There is one thing though the hips don't seem wide enough but that's OK. Oh and I've finnaly decided that it would be nice to see you draw and incubuss which is the male version of the succubuss. Anyways, see ya later!!! Bye^-^

I actually am oil painting in my advanced art class at school so I can give you a few pointers. First of all the shape of her body is a little off. Next time try using a real life reference like a lingerie catalog. I know it sounds corny but it works for most. With the oils, layering coats on top of each other helps. And also make sure you have a nice think surface to paint on. Lessee another thing is to mix colors thoroughly, which you already seemed to do a good job of. It takes awhile to get a hang of keep trying though youre basically there. ^^

Advice? Lemme put it you this way...Q. How do you get to Carnegie Hall? A. Practice, man, practice. That's my advice. Practice, practice, practice. (Yes, I will repeat important 'key words' three times)
