Why is it no one uses their own imagination to do a picture of a faery, but always copies the art from the book "Faeries". Every site I go to has the same images from the book.

Its something called inspiration, this is an amateur site, if you don't like it, then go somewhere else, or do it yourself. I created this picture in respect to the book. But you probably would not understand that, would you?

this looks like it was done with crayon. . . if you used colored pencils you could have blended better. .. you have much talent.

This paticullar pic is not my immpression of a pixie or a fairy whichever one you're trying to create here.I'm not saying you're horrible I'm saying try and create an image of one that the average person expects a fairy to look like.Yes you do have talent though.

At first I couldn't figure out what was on her head, then I saw her face and figured out it was her hair. Leave it to a blonde to get confused by a picture. It's a very neat picture, you have real talent.

I'm a huge fan of Brian Froud myself, and his art has been a major inspiration for me. 2 I like the contrast of the red with the bright green. Don't get upset when people say you don't have an imagination for drawing something from one of Froud's books. Loads of people do it, whether they post what they drew or not. I do it cause it helps me develope my own style. I like to mimic other styles and take what I like from them to mix and mold into my style. As long as you credit Froud for the original image, there's no need for people to yell at you. Lovely pic, again.
