| 5 Jan 2003 | Nakita 'Tiger of Ice' Martin-Russillo | Ummmm i do agree this isnt the best work i have seen but there is always room for inprovement, thake me for example, when i was...Ummmmm...10 to 12 i really bit!! But now that i am now......Ummmm.....13 i am pretty good. But one way you can get better is to do body study or just take a picture of somthing and draw it...Lots of my pi ctures i have referenses everywhere. But on the otherhand somr people just cant draw, just like someone cant write. Well that is all i have to say to this pic. | |
| 5 Jan 2003 | Anon | I agree with the two who insulted your pic but im going to give you some advice, when you draw an equine make sure you get body preportions correct and remember, they dont smile and have bones in their legs. | |
| 5 Jan 2003 | Queen Ellesime | I can't believe you would say something like that. I can't believe anyone could be as cruel and as tactless to post up something like that. It doesn't matter whether it's good or bad. Tiffany is trying, ok? Tiffany, I suggest you keep your art to yourself, as it's obvious no one appreciates it but me. | |
| 8 Jan 2003 | Amanda Mia McCann | Uhh, well...try tracing things out drawing books and sources like that before you try copying, the copy it with out tracing until you are ready to do it on your own. that and hard work is what taught me how to draw. and remember, practice! | |
| 11 Jan 2003 | Rahani Buenaventura | Hmmm...it could use some work, but i luv the idea... its a little big tho..... u cant fully appreciate the coolness of the pic cuz u have to keep moving it around to see the whole thing... U hav a lot of potential to become a totally awesome artist...keep on drawing..... and don't keep ur work to urself... this is wat elfwood's for... to show off ur talent..and get good advice on ur pics.. great job | |
| 17 Mar 2004 | Alexandre Lalonde | man, that picture's reall swell! it's missing allot of 3D in it though but keep it up! | |
| 24 Dec 2004 | MerHorse | Oh, wait- you're 16? I thought someone said u were 10. Sorry. I know, it hate it when people think I am younger than I really am, too. But no, I was not judging by the artwork, just I could have sworn... | |
| 24 Dec 2004 | MerHorse | Well now, you could use some practice, but you're not too far off. I started out drawing like that when I was a little younger than you, but the more I drew the better I got. I suggest drawing from photos of horses until you can really do it. Here's a few things to think about, and don't worry, nothing harsh: -Typical representaion of fire. Look at REAL fire and don't just draw little cartoon birthday-candle flames. You'd be amazed at the difference this will make. ; ) -Look up horse anatomy. Look at the joints in the legs, how they are put together, basically just how they work. -Make the neck thicker, especially because this is a stallion (uncastrated male horse). They have VERY thick necks. Trust me, I show them. -Put the wings further up on the back, and make them join the body from the shoulder to mid-back, so that they could support the horse, like eagle wings help an ealge to glide. -Draw more horse-heads from photos!!!! I even still have trouble with heads sometimes, when I'm not drawing breed-specific.
GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS: -Strong sense of movement. -Creative. -Clear, defined line art. -Luv the alicorn(horn)!
Remember, the more you draw the better your motor skills will get. ;-) | |
