SciFi and Fantasy Art: Mat Cauthon

'We are going to tickle some Aes Sedai under the chin, rescue a mule, and put a snip-nosed girl on the Lion Throne. Oh, yes. That's Aviendha. Don't look at her cross-wise or she'll try to cut your throat and probably slit her own by mistake.' -Mat Cauthon

Awesome Pic! Really Discriptive, But the fox-head is to small, and you forgot the black scarf around his neck hiding the hanging scar

:-) Niki 'Jedi Wolf Sister' Patton replies: "Actualy I didn't forget the scarf, I intentionaly ignored it. I was having massive difficulties with wrinkles and folds, and I wanted to get the pic finished, so I decided to figgure out how to draw a scar instead.Man, I'm lazy! And as for the medalion; I couldn't find where it said exactly how big it was, so I went with what looked good to me. Again, I'm too lazy to flip through ten books for such a trivial detail."

A good pic, for certain. I love pen & ink work. I think his face could use a bit of shading though...

:-) Niki 'Jedi Wolf Sister' Patton replies: "I was thinking so too, but I'm so nervous about faces... Especialy when I use ink. I'm always afraid I'm going to mess it up"

I LOVE the Wheel of Time. Your pictures are really awesome, and this totally looks like my mental picture of Matrim. You even gave him the little half-smile I always picture him with. Where's his spear, though? Anyway. Bye

13 Niki 'Jedi Wolf Sister' Patton replies: "I'm definitly happy with that smirk/smile. I know I've got a lot of inacuracies, but I think I got the personality dead on."

I have a thing for ink work... this is very well done...

:-) Niki 'Jedi Wolf Sister' Patton replies: "I very rarely use purely ink myself. It was a new experience for me. I think I like it."

I'm also a huge wot fan, and I think mat is the coolest character, so you get many kudos points on my personal scale of coolness that doesn't actually exist. This is a cool picture, and not only because it's Mat (that's most of it though haha). But it's really well drawn too. I love that quote, it made me giggle. Alright I'm done.

1 Niki 'Jedi Wolf Sister' Patton replies: "Woo! Lots of praise there. Thanks, I'm sure I don't deserve half of it. 12
That quote always makes me giggle to. I realy couldn't resist using it."
