I love the style on this. Especaly the sky and how the owl flows with it. Reminds me a bit of Van Gogh. The stability of the earth beneath it contrasts nicely. Sets a nice stage for the ethereal character in the foreground. It's like straight out of a faerie tale.

:-) Natalia Nikitin replies: "Thank you. The character is not something I made up and is from a story of sorts, but not one that will now ever get written I think. "

definitely very Van Gogh-ish. I love this piece, especially the sky, and the sweeping mist, it gives the picture a rather surreal feeling. I also love her expression, and the staff is cool too.

:-) Natalia Nikitin replies: "All this comparrison to Mr Van Gogh is very flattering. Thank you!"

I agree, it does look like Van Gogh--very beautiful work, here--such a mysterious feel and I like the strong colors.

:-) Natalia Nikitin replies: "Thank you, I'm glad you liked it, especially the 'mysterious feel' bit. 2 I think I should try to do a picture with limited but bright colour pallette again sometime. "

this is my favorite, i think. i want to be her

:-) Natalia Nikitin replies: "Thanks, she was quite an intresting character, whose concept and development wasn’t really done by me But I had an idea for an image, and here it is."

That is beautiful. I like the shy...clouds and circle lights. What is the light on the hand showing? Why is she crying?

:-) Natalia Nikitin replies: "She’s not crying, but has some sort of Druidic tatoos on her face. From what I can remember, she is an elf mage with djinn ancestry who had been initiated into earth magic of some sort as well. The ’spell’ in her hand has somethigng to do with 4 elements, the fourth - air- being all around her, in a way (the wispy clouds). Glad you liked the picture."

she is so pretty, and there’s so much detail in her face, even if it is tiny...wish my faces would turn out like that, but they just go screwy...

:-) Natalia Nikitin replies: "You can get quite far with patience and practice [although remaining there takes some practice too, unfortunately]."
