I like the stylized feeling and the designs at the top. As I think someone else said, it has the feeling of Tolkien's own drawings, which is something a lot of people (including myself) tend to ignore. I also like the way you did the light pouring out of the furnace. Keep up the good work!

Great picture. I like the colors. I really need to read Sillmarillion. I've read the Hobbit and the Trilogy, but this i can't seem to find the time to read. Hmmmm, maybe this Summer I'll get the chance.

Do read it, definately!

Holy crap. This stuff is great. Never would've thought of a Valar (am i right?) litterally making a race in the sence of a forge and hammer. That's very cool.Well, as with other things this is not meant to be a realistic 'historical' picture, rather an image of the event I got from reading about it.

All your drawings look very biblical, however, it looks lovely, espcially this one.

:-) Natalia Nikitin replies: "Thanks. I don't think anyone ever found them 'Biblical' before, but I guess it must be a good thing."

I like a lot the expression on Aule's face: happiness, pride and love...
Congrats!

WOW....where’s the Mod?...you should have one for this, it is AMAZING!!!!!!!
the way you’ve done the light shafts...and the glittering jewels, and his expression, so smug...naughty Aule, sneaking behind Illuvatar’s back...tut tut tut

:-) Natalia Nikitin replies: "Ah... plenty of much more deserving pictures never get highlighted, but I’m glad you like it and that it captured the character for you. "
