| 5 May 2004 | Suzannah Rowntree | I saw this on Rolozo Tolkien and thought: Wow!! Perfect!!!! I still do. *goes back to gaze* Natalia Nikitin replies: "Thank you!" | |
| 11 May 2004 | Tally Bob | I love the way you have used colour in your pictures. I like this one the most though!!! Very good!! Sorta like a YingYangThanks! I suppose it could be, but that was never my intention. It's 100% Tolkien-inspired. ^_^ | |
| 12 May 2004 | Annie | Awesome I love how you did the two sides. It's really beautiful. Natalia Nikitin replies: "Thanks!" | |
| 12 May 2004 | Vickie | ***does a beauty dance*** these are really great but i have one question are these all done in watercolors? Cuz if so they are great im taking art class now in high school and i took one from this sight but it wasnt one of yours (sorry) and did it and got first place in the art fair but i did tell them that i took it off of this sight and that it was not one of my own o-well nice job keep up the good work!!!Yes, it's watercolour and I hope that soon you'll be able to produce work of your own that would get you first places in competitions. | |
| 26 May 2004 | Ben L. Peery | Best one yet. Galadriel is awesome, best character in the book (besides Gandalf, of course! lol) and this is just cool. The ship and the tower above her that's so cool. Thank you! I'm glad you noticed those little details! | |
| 10 Jun 2004 | Anonymous | So is the big gold thing in the middle a bullet? No, it's the Ring. Sideways. | |
| 15 Oct 2004 | Sarah | Beautiful! I especially like how the hands of Galadriel are portrayed. The White Lady places up her hand to reject the Ring while the Dark Queen willingly grasps at it. Masterfully done! Natalia Nikitin replies: "Yup, that's pretty much what I intended the hand gestures to convey. I'm glad I succeeded. Thanks! " | |
| 6 Dec 2007 | Justin A 'Merlion Emrys' Williams | Galadriel is one of my favorite characters in anything, and you’ve done a great job in representing one of the great moments of the character. I love all the little symbols and nods inserted in here, the hand gestures, the arrow and the pendulum etc. Natalia Nikitin replies: "Thanks, I’m glad you liked it. I don’t know about all the little symbols, I think in retrospect they are a little too.. ’in your face - this is what it means’ sort of thing. Perhaps it is better with fewer such things, but letting them make a greater impact. " | |
| 8 Jan 2008 | Vera Pospisil | Another beautiful piece. deceptively simple a first glance, yet so telling. I agree the hands are a wonderful representation of the choice. Again beautiful colours. I love your interpretation and portrayal of Tolkien’s world Natalia Nikitin replies: "Thank you. I should try to do some more Tolkien-based pictures, if I can find the time." | |
| 9 Mar 2008 | Anon. | The best of the bunch!( if anyone disagrees, note I haven%u2019t seen all of the pics in the gallery) Natalia Nikitin replies: "Thank you, although I think it could be better in many ways." | |
