| 10 Apr 2001 | Erik Johnson | This pic looks like it has more meaning than meets the eye, but I can't fully grasp it. I need to learn to understand things such as this. Kind of like poetry. I really like the soft coloring. The snow around the boy is a bit underqualitied, compared to the coloring job in some of your other works. You have an awesome sense for perspective and proportion with the body of the boy. All in all, a nice pic.
While I painted this, I tried to put many meanings on this picture. . . . If you feel "something" from this picture, I feel happy.
On the snow around the boy, I did some experiment of restraining( simple expression ) the colors and the tones. It's difficult to me, so I'll try to practice more. Thank you, Erik!
| 6 Jun 2001 | Natascha Roeoesli | What an incredible beautiful picture. Its style is different to most others in the woods.. I am amazed how much you of the feelings you put into the picture with the manner it is drawn and colored..all the very subtle things like colors and shadings which stress the meaning of the picture...I am just fully amazed ^_^ Really really wonderful
Wow... thank you a lot, Natascha!!I wish to keep searching better styles, also to keep trying how to express everything... thank you!
| 2 Sep 2001 | Tatiana Starchevsky | I love all of your art. The light, softness... it's amazing. My favorite picture of yours, however, is on your website. It is of the cracked girl holding the blue bird, and it's breathatking! I think you deserve more comments than you get because you are in the back of the elfwood galleries. With this picture, it seems that the boy's shadow belnds together with the spring tree. Are you trying to say that spring is gone, and the cold season is ahead of him? Or maybe, to find happiness(represented by spring), look within yourself. | |
| 16 Feb 2002 | | yes.. it's all totally amazing. you ARE different from the rest of us. i feel so.. i don't know.. if you would compare our coloring yours would be the sun, and mine only shadows.. i feel so boring.. | |
| 12 Nov 2002 | Sea Child | To me it represents new life as bolt the child and tree are very young and also that we are a part of nature as much as it is us. | |
