SciFi and Fantasy Art: Gryphon

Finally I managed to finish something (more or less)...This time a "gryphon" which has been left in my sketchbook too long. Haven't been in the mood of drawing lately. I tried out the good old 2B pencil again, just for a change. My scanner isn't too fond of pencil drawings, I think... But it is still not the worst I've drawn...

Come to think of it, this gryphon looks like an elder version of the very first gryphon I drew, which was a baby...Funny. Except that the first  gryphon had eagle claws, unlike this one... Maybe they're related? Can you call it a gryphon if it doesn't have eagle legs, by the way? I really don't know what else I could call it.

Aww.... What a pretty gryphie.... Great! I have kinda just started drawing gryphons now, and made myself a cutie called Frost ^_^
I really think this is very well done. I like his shiney eye, his fur/feathers and his right wing very much. But the left wing... It kinda looks a little, well, dead? You know, almost like someone has ripped it off and left it in the snow... (oh, that doesn`t sound very pretty). But don`t worry about that, the rest looks awesome, and that about the wing is just my personal opinion, and others might not see it at all.
And yes, gryphons can have paws instead of eagle legs, I have seen it many times ^_^
Keep up the great work, Ingrid!!!

:-) Ingrid Haugland replies: "Thank you ^_^ I saw Frost. He looks so cute hunting that mouse.
I see what you mean about the wing, yes... I think I attached it wrong, so it looks cut of. Looks awfull indeed... I need to practice!"

OOOOOwwww so cute.
I wanna take it home. I love the wings and the eye most.
Great work.

:-) Ingrid Haugland replies: "You can borrow her as often as you like 12 I worked most on one of the wings and the eye, and I think that shows. Maybe I’ll fix the rest of the picture later... "

aww is pretty... i want one!!!!!!!!!!!

:-) Ingrid Haugland replies: "Thank you. You can probably draw your own gryphon too, if you just try 12 "

Oh... how lovely. My immediate reaction to this was a sigh. There’s something so serene about her. (Forgive me if it’s a he - my first response was to think it female for some reason). I love the posture -- very relaxed -- and the luminous eyes are so captivating.

:-) Ingrid Haugland replies: "Nothing to forgive, this gryphon is indeed a female 12 She was very happy to hear you talk about her captivating eyes, and is currently admiring them in my mirror 2"

I really like that one, you’ve put much details in the wings. I’d love to have him as a pet. I never drew a Gryphon before, maybe I should try one day. Hope I will be able to be as good as yours, but mine will never be as cute 12

:-) Ingrid Haugland replies: "Thank you! You should draw a gryphon. I don’t draw them often, but it’s always fun when I do it. This one is female, not male, by the way. She took no offence since you called her cute 12 "

Uhh, a real cute gryphon. I especially like the details on the right wing, and its paws, impressive... Godt jobbet1

:-) Ingrid Haugland replies: "Thanks 1"

Very nice!, one of the best I have seen in elfwood so far.

:-) Ingrid Haugland replies: "Do you really think so? What a compliment! Thank you 1"

Gorgeous. So much so I had to underline, bold and italicize. My only qualm: the right wing looks odd stretched out at that angle. AMAZING. the feather work with the pencil is absolutely brilliant. Well Done!

:-) Ingrid Haugland replies: "Thank you, thank you 1 Amazing and brilliant, that sounds to good to be true 12 I’m aware of the wing. I’ll try to avoid the same mistake again. "
