SciFi and Fantasy Art: Little hearts, reach the stars

Little heart

Not torn apart

Untouched by time

Unknown was crime

Unaware of grown-ups' scars

Able still to reach the stars

Sometimes one just have to make these sentimental pictures...I wrote a little poem too. Please notice that I'm not much of a poet.. The thought was that when one grows up one strives more and more after success, happiness and good fortune. One has thousands of ideas of how to become happier, but no matter how big house one get, how good job, one will never be quite satisfied. So, grown-ups reach for the stars, but don't manage to reach them, while children don't yet know that they are supposed to hunt for happiness, and so they are happy. They manage to reach the stars. :)

Oh, I just loved the poem and the story behind!!!
And The picture itself is beautiful, I love the texture used on the dress and moon.

I miss when I was a little child now. When I was about 6-7 years old, I had a really great time, with lots of fun playing. We always had games where we really used our imagination. We saw other worlds and amazing creatures. We travelled in time or were wild animals. It is all gone now, and I have very little contact with almost all my friends from then. And I don’t remember how to play like that.
Now school and working with my art or book takes most of my time. It is nice, but tiring too. I just want to reach the stars.

:-) Ingrid Haugland replies: "Yeah, we used to play like that too. It’s a time one never get back.. but life has so much more to it too 1 Hurray!"
