SciFi and Fantasy Art: Sketch, Centaur

I can't remember if it was a deer or an elk, one of the two. I was sketching it off a calander and I just decided to put a human torso on it. I think it turned out pretty well except for the fact that its not finished.

You might be interested to know there is a mythological beast known as the 'Hybsil' which fits your drawing reasonably well.

"Hybsils look like 3-foot tall centaurs with the bodies of antelopes (or deer, I suppose) instead of horses."

Source: Forgotten Realms: Monsters of Faerun (RPG Sourcebook).

I think there are one or two other mythological beasts with the deer/human makeup as well...

I'm full of useless facts this morning! (grin!)

From all of the animals I've seen while I'm hunting, the lower half looks like an elk.But your the artist. It can be whatever you wish it to be2
