SciFi and Fantasy Art: Dragon Batik

This is a project I did for art class..my scanner is totally sad and barely even got a third of it in its that big..so I'm kinda pissed. Anyways its a bigass green/blue dragon spewing fire, its head it kinda hard to see(bit of a screwup..my first time with batik!)..my congrats if you manage to find it.

I found it! Actually im glad it is so well blended...Any more contrast and it might jump out and steal ones eyes away from the detail in the rest of the pic. I used to paint landscapes like that... With very subtle touches. Maybe a bit too subtle... Out of all the people who have seen them only three picked out the dragons in the clouds. The others had to look for hours 2

I remember when it was covered in cat hair and our art teacher had to peel it off with tape! lol!

Well, i must say cool stuff. This is excellent and it is a very hard technique to master...Did an interesting tree once myself, but i could never quite get the hang of the whole process. The head isn't hard to see at all either, it is just dark as it should be.

Batik was very difficult for me and I never quite mastered the art myself. However, you did a very nice job pulling to whole idea together. I really enjoy what you did on this fabric!!!! I particularly like the way the dragon is positioned, it's not a traditional stance like we usually see dragons....

I had no trouble finding the head 12 But maybe thats because I'm familiar with dracs. I love this, it sorta reminds me of a mountain for some reason..Or something very old. Great pose on the dragon too! Beautiful!

I like this picture! It almost looks icy! I was directed to your gallery by A friend of yours! She said your style was kindof like mine, but it's not really. But your style i like, very origional!
