SciFi and Fantasy Art: When Worlds Collide

*The great, rust colored wolf lifts his shaggy head blinking in the sudden light in the tiny room. Snarling, he staggars to his feet quickly regaining his strength. His blurred vision begins to steady, and his weaving comes to a halt. Hackles raised he peers about the room. Cracked, musty red brick lines the walls. It smells of blood and worse. There are no doors and windows. He begins to panic. Taking a step foreward he hears the loud metallic sound of metal on metal, restricting his movements. A snarl of rage, anger begins to cloud his sences and before he knows it, hes in Crinos, panting heavily. Razor claws digging ruts into the stone beneath him. A sound, a loud hissing, breaks through the haze of panic. Something real something solid, something that will let him vent. Turning to a corner previously overlooked, his eyes lock with another pair, this set glittering lightly. Enemy, his mind says. Fight it and get out! Rage blinding him, he lunges.* *Gradually coming into wakefullness, a young East Indian man rolls over onto his knees. Hes dizzy, feels like retching. The room is spinning and his vision is blurry. Hard to think straight. No memory...no memory of whats happened. Red brick all around, stained with marks he can only guess at. No doors, no windows, trapped. Across the room there is a wolf, rust colored and raging. Quickly he shifts to Crinos, hoping to shatter the chains that bind him. He puzzles a moment at the fact that the grow with him, but there is no time for that. Seeing the great wolf shift and snarl in rage, he hisses back a warning and prepares to fight. Enemy, his mind speaks. Ancient. Kill or be killed. The wolf whips towards him and he lunges towards the offending Garou.* *Jaws snapping, spittle flying, claws raking madly at the air the two charge towards eachother and stop, shrieking, mere inches from eachother. The chains that bind them have a length. The wolf, stronger of the two bellows and throws his body into the air, tearing the chains from thier grasp. Laying back his ears, the great soptted cat tenses as the freed chains are whiped towards him. Ducking, he tangles his own bonds with that of the wolves. Snarling, the wolf yanks back, both the cat and his bonds, now broken, hurtle towards the hulking creature.* *Pain shoots through his sences, disorienting him momentarily. The cat, staggars to his feet, hissing another warning to the Garou who had just thrown him bodily into the wall. The Garou lunges in for hte kill but the Bastet is not to be underestimated. Turning from his foe he runs at the wall that had before so forcibly dented him, and straight up it. The Garou rushes beneath a spilt second later only to meet a frenzy of teeth and claws from behind as the great leopard rips into his thick hide.* *Howling both in shock and rage the wolf reaches behind him and finally manages to grasp the greased terror behind him. Holding the monster by the neck he slams the cat into the wall. There is a distinct cracking sound and a shriek of pain. Wheezing now, the cat brings his legs up, claws extending into hte wolf's exposed belly and kicking frantically. The wolf lets go, and the cat drops to the ground in a heap. The wolf, holding back shredded flaps of skin, glares balefully at the cat. The feline, flecks of blood lacing his mouth, laughs mockingly, a grotesque mimicry of the natural sound, his rage overcomming his reason. Snarling the wolf lets himself go to the frensy and the two leap at one another in a heated fury that could not be entirely documented.* *Finally the cat gets his jaws around the wolves throat and hold on tight. The pair topple to the ground. The wolf renduing the fur from the cats body. It is only an effort of will that he does not pass into oblivion and death. Eventually the wolfs spasmic flailings weaken then come to a halt. After a moment of silence, the feline lets go as the great Crinos begins to shrink down to its Lupis form. Coughing up blood the cat sinks to its knees, and into oblivion himself. Falling back into the form of a naked, battered man that he was born to be, the Bastet falls into the blessed peace of unconciousness* *In the room above a pair of men, one dark, one fair watch the proceedings. The fair man with casual interest, the dark, with indifference.* *Finally after a moment on the screen, there is a ragged fall and rise on the chest of the wolf. The dark man is silent a moment then speaks, the florescent light in hte room glints sharply off the exposed fangs revealed by hte movement of unsmiling, granate lips.* Sire: So you see Carter, this is what its like when worlds collide. Carter: Yes sire, I didn't think they would treat thier brethen like this. *He smiles, showing a pair of sharp white fangs beneath the placid lips* Then we continue with the plan sir? Sire: Yes Carter. I trust all will be ready for thier next moot. *His eyes, glassy black and infathomable look over the rust colored wolf with an expression of pure apathy. He turns on his heel and begins to head out of the room.* Carter: Sire? Sire: *A pause, he doesn't turn.* Yes, Carter? Carter: Well...the subjects sir? They're both alive. Sire: *Another silence, nothing can be told from the perfectly postured, aristocratic stance.* Terminate them. Carter: Yes sire.

oh my goodness, and I thought your dragons were great, this totally blew me away! Absolutely wonderful. I don't really see anything wrong with the wolf's jaw.. thought that might just come from my ill-experienced point of view.. hehe

Hmmm....I was about to say 'Awseome! It's Flawless', and then i saw the smaller version of it when i was in the 'Add Comment' screen. It's definantly a jaw problem.. I think it's that a Dogs Jaw hinges a little bit further back in the face. Or maybe the jaw is right, and the dogs lips are too big, making it seem like a jaw problem. Anyways, besides the minor anatomy details.. I love the detail you put into the hair. Your strokes are so confidentally done .. not to mention all the little work you did on the cat. Pretty slick~. Keep up the good stuff!
