SciFi and Fantasy Art: Character Study N°1: Angel of Death

This is a character in a story a friend of mine tried to write quite a few times before he decided it would be better as a movie. Her name is Kaziel, and she works as an Angel of Death. She's not THE Angel of Death, mind you; it's a franchise, and she has to cope with a bureaucraty that she hates. Well... This is how I see her, in angelic form and in human form, drawn in mechanical pencil during working hours.

16 May 2001	Friend of the friend	Loading... We can now see why the main character (Robert, John...) is going to fall in love with her ! Jules. I think it'll be Jules, because this is more or less the only name that allows one particular pun (in French, "Jules" can mean "boyfriend").
16 May 2001	The friend	Loading... Mmm... That isn't quite how I'd imagined her (but then, I'd be at a loss to physically describe characters I think up), but... it works. The standing portaits do exsude that tough, resolute aspect that is so characteristic of her. But the close-up, with the tear on the corner of the eye, shows that it's really just a shell she's built around herself. Very good; now I'd like a picture of here showing bloody-minded desperation... (just joking, don't hit me!) Isn't our world filled with bloodimindium anyway? Glad you like it.

15 Aug 2001	Coen de Moor	Loading... Those eyes are real good. Angels with cell phones? Interesting. Something like praying through email. Or through a chat box, if God happens to be online. No intention to offend anyone's religious feelings, just thinking out loud.
11 Oct 2001	Norma Peters	Loading... I'm especially intrigued by the beautiful features of the larger face, to the right. Very nice portrayal of emotion. ^_^ A few lines here, here and there, no shading, then a look at the overall impression and "oh, did I do this?" I'm not sure I could do the same trick again...
