SciFi and Fantasy Art: Hiro and Mitoko

This is a picture I did one night when I was bored, and it turned out ok. This is my first time trying to draw a picture like this though. I did try to capture the love between the two characters, but I wasn't able to get the effect I originally wanted.

Effects are overrated! And they're so impossibly hard to get.....What did u draw this with? It looks like it was done on the comp.....
