SciFi and Fantasy Art: Phoenix

The whole idea of this is simply taken from the legend of the Phoenix. While it is great to assign all those metaphysical properties to a bird, I think the Phoenix has more power as a metaphor for the human desire for change and immortality. So, I tried to illustrate it. This was done in Corel Painter and PhotoShop. I suppose this could be an angel or fairy/faery image as well. I wanted to make her partially nude and clothed simulataneously, hence the swirling robe in fire colors. Comments welcome.

Very cool. Very mythical. The only thing, I would take out PHOENIX at the bottom, it takes away from the picture in my opinion. Otherwise, very interesting, creative, and almost delicate. Great work!
