| 29 May 2003 | Kara | Very good and nice expression, but in every one of your furry pictures, they have their hands behind their backs and their legs and feet are hidden. THis is vey common for artists who don't want to try to draw hands and feet. You seem to be more interested in the outside details then what's underneath i.e.: muscles and bones. You need to try drawing a full body picture, possibly nude, to practice what's underneath the clothes. Yerf.com is a furry/anthro site with forums that can help you with anatomy/construction. With patience and hard work you'll find that your art will improve greatly. Also, the ears are just pasted there on top of the head/hair. Draw the skull, flesh it out, then draw the ears attatched to the head. Do NOT draw the hair then the ears. Very common and leaves disproportional ears. Nice hair shine btw. Sorry, I forget that Elfwood isn't critique forum. -Kara Colette Diane Paradis replies: "Nono, I'm totally fine with being critiqued! Thanks for the tips I did this one last summer but haven't had a lot of drawing time to improve on proportions and hands and feet. That's one of my goals for this summer. Thanks for the suggestions on how to go about doing this!" | |
