| 2 Jun 2003 | Ravenna Musgrave | Whee! First comment! Anywho, that said, I like this. I can't draw realistic people like this, so let me have my moment of jealousy. I like her costume, very cute, although I would have made more creases and folds to give her skirt that really flowy feel. It looks as it would hang sort of funny when she drops the hem. As for the guy ('scuse me while i pout some more, for I just can't draw boys to save my life), really groovy, except for his one leg looks really short and stubby... I'd darken the crease of his butt cheek, and give his leg a bit more shadow. But that's just me, and I have a hard time drawing people myself. And I draw women figures alot to design clothes... grr. They always look so stiff and oddly proportioned. As for the feel of the art, I like it. They've got a natural flow to them. They look relaxed and cheerful. And I don't think the teeth thing is that bad. From here, it just looks like she's got a full mouth, and she's smiling slyly at her dance partner... kinda like "now see if you can keep up with this!" and then she'll perform some weird twirly skip-step to show off. | |
