| 2 May 2003 | Tara 'Raven' Monday | She doesn't remind me of a goddess, hear me out before you kill me. -smile- Because of, what look to be, piercings holding her down, and the mask. She reminds me of one of the hated children of Gea and Uranus who were locked w/i the earth womb. Kind of like a Cyclopes or one of the hundred armed children of the sexual couple. Anyway it goes dear miss Laura I must say it's lovely art work. Laura Pelick replies: "I don't kill anyone for THEIR view on my work -nod- i like hearing out different ideas that people have. .it was actually one of the reasons I do artwork so that they have stories behind them. I wish I could remember exactly why she's chained down, but escaping.. i just can't recall it at the moment." | |
| 7 May 2003 | Crissy Gottberg | that is kinda twisted. I like it. She only has one arm.... and it took me a sec to notice all those... ties... coming out of her skin. Her torso is a bit twisted (physicaly) and i think that just adds to her whole otherworldlyness. Laura Pelick replies: "yup.. one arm -g- the other is that wing that's in the arm's spot, but then it wouldn't be weird if she had two arms." | |
| 31 May 2003 | Cara To | WHOHOW..gruesome! donu what to say..wow.. | |
| 1 Jul 2003 | Sara Brodin | This picture is so powerful and emotional. I love the whole composition, especially for the fact that you placed her in the corner of the pic and laid focus on those incredible wings and beautiful sky. Wow. | |
| 5 Aug 2003 | Lindzi V. Sayles | I like how she has one arm and those wing are just brilliant, i like how you've stuck to purples colors too. | |
| 20 Aug 2003 | Some guy | This is a lovely work, and a great show of your talents Laura. Though Id like to know if shes actualy suposed to fly with 3 wings like that.... | |
| 21 Aug 2003 | Jessica Destinyfall Gaude | Another in my fave colors! This is very weird and beautiful at the same time. Great work | |
| 13 Oct 2003 | daedalus | Her mask stands out from the rest of the picture....and she breaks free from the bonds placed on her. Overcoming her burden, she smiles, the bonds were mere strings after all. Through adversity comes greatness. That's what I thought about this picture | |
| 11 Dec 2003 | Jeremy Boudreaux | It seems to me as if she must be an embodiment of chaos. This would explain the oddness of her anatomy and the proportions of her body. Either that or she is being effected by the chaos around her, and it is distorting our perception of her body. I assume that the proportions are intentional based on the other examples of your work that I have seen here. Love the pic! | |
| 30 Apr 2005 | Gustave Leviathan | I like it, for the abstractionism, body, face and wings. | |
