SciFi and Fantasy Art: Then, one day...

This is my masterpiece. This is the result of my first serious committment to a project. This is the piece that has changed my attitude towards art and made me passionate about it in a way I've never really been. Never have I put so much planning and study into a picture. Never have I invested so much careful thought and emotion. Concepts began in June of 2003. After 42 pages of sketching, I came up with my final design. It took me from mid August to mid September to draw the final version. I had to finish it before school began, so unfortunately, I didn't get to do a background. The digital camera didn't do it justice, and a lot of the detail is hard to see (it's 24 by 36 inches), but the other view shows some of it.
