| 1 Jul 2006 | Brandi Nelson | She is one of the most interesting people (in my opinion)...Of course along with vlad...I think you drew her perfectly, i never exactly thought her portraits looked like her either, this is how i pictured her. I do love how you did her posture! And the back ground and necklace(yes i noticed) added perfectly to her. I also love how you added the blood-ish tint to her shall. Truly beautiful! Thanks for your lovely comment. I'm delighted that you enjoyed the picture. | |
| 13 Aug 2006 | JubJub the Ewok Supremo | wow... visit www.furiae.com you'd love that it reminds me of Linda's art she's fabulous (and hopefully give u even MORE inspiration!), kudos 2 u lady!I've known Linda's work for years, actually. We both have galleries at epilogue.net. She's quite an amazing artist, but I would never consciously copy another artist's style. | |
| 30 Oct 2006 | Anonymous | This picture almost makes her look nice | |
| 7 Dec 2006 | Travis | does this have anything to do with the story by Francis Marion Crawford that has the same name??Yes, actually, I read that story when I was in my early teens, and found the title suitably evocative when I was working on this portrait. Actually, that same title originated in the bible, old testament, Deuteronomy. | |
| 6 Feb 2007 | Tamra <tamrasedai@yah...com> | This reminds me of a Vampire (the Masquerade) character I was never quite able to draw right. If she was wearing white, I would say it had to be her! By the by, if you are in need of a back-story for her (I can't be the only one so nerdy as to have stories for all my art) I could give you the one from my character (it is fairly elaborate, for an RPG character). Her game ended, and he character sheet is just collecting dust. I offer her up because you have so effectively captured her the way I always pictured her. I doubt it could be done better. She actually once had a back story, but the Elfwood Review Board, in their wisdom, took the picture down, because they seemed not to understand the significance of the story as it applied to horror/fantasy art. I'm sure their deletion of the picture had nothing whatsoever to do with a certain moderator who was badmouthing my work behind my back. No, of course it wouldn't. | |
| 12 Feb 2007 | Bookworm | I like the background. She looks like she would be very tall... Excellent job on her face.Thank you. | |

| 24 Jan 2008 | Stephanie S. K. Marbach | i really like the pose of her head, it’s so different from what we usually get here, and it makes her look so, hm, proud, or even "royal"... i loooooooove her hair, it’s so nicely done, and her jewels are gorgeous... !!!
